This product is made by Merial. Firocoxib, the active ingredient in Equioxx, is designated as a class 4 substance by the ARCI for horses.
Active Ingredients: Firocoxib; artificially flavored: hickory smoke oil
Directions for User: The recommended dosage is one 57mg tablet, for oral administration in horses weighing 800-1300lbs, once daily for up to 14 days. May be given with or without food. Follow your veterinarian’s instructions exactly when using this product.
Special Precautions: Horses with hypersensitivity to Firocoxib or other NSAIDS should not receive EQUIOXX. Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children. Consult a physician in case of accidental ingestion by humans. For use in horses only. Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
