Carprovet is generic equivalent for Rimadyl (carprofen). It’s a Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug(NSAID) used to treat pain and inflammation due to arthritis and other other joint disease. For some patients, Carprovet is an effective alternative to Rimadyl. We advise patients start on Rimadyl to measure response to drug. If effective, then can consider transition to determine if generic will be as effective for them as Rimadyl.
