OUR STORY

Our goal here at Lodi Veterinary Care has always been to assemble a veterinary health care team committed to providing exceptional client service and veterinary health care.  The Lodi Veterinary Care team displays an unrivaled commitment to our clients through continuing education, technological advances in veterinary medicine and service, and most importantly, administering compassionate care to all patients entrusted to us.

The first veterinarian in Lodi was Dr. Pick from Grand Rapids, Mo, around 1900. It is uncertain how long he stayed in Lodi. Shortly after Dr. Pick arrived in town, Dr. Thomas Schneckloth arrived in Lodi and practiced here for 54 years. His office was located west of the current Lodi Library. The original building housing what is the currently Lodi Veterinary Care was built in 1969, with the cattle handling area and barn being added on in 1972. A few years later, Barb Breunig joined the company and became the first Certified Veterinary Technician at LVC.

In 1997, LVC broke ground for a major addition to the hospital which was completed in January of 1998. In early 2008 we merged with Madison Equine Clinic. Late 2009 brought about another change in our equine services through a partnership with Blue Mounds Equine Clinic/ Minitube of America in an effort to expand the services we offer. There have been many changes and a lot of growth at LVC over the years, and we’re excited to see where the future will lead!
