Boarding Policies

All pets must be current on their vaccinations. If not previously vaccinated, the vaccinations must be done at least seven days prior to boarding. If vaccinations are not on record at the Lodi Veterinary Hospital, a health certificate from the pet's veterinarian must be presented PRIOR to the time of boarding.

Required vaccinations - Dogs
  -  Rabies
  -  DHLPPC
  -  Bordetella (kennel cough)

Required vaccinations - Cats
  -  Rabies
  -  FDRC
  -  FIV and FeLV vaccinations are highly recommended.

Intestinal Parasites - All pets must have a fecal exam done within one year of being boarded.

Flea control - For your pet's protection, all pets are examined upon admission for external parasites. We strongly recommend the use of a preventative flea and tick control prior to boarding.

Contagious disease - Any pet showing signs of a contagious disease will be denied admission to the boarding facility. Arrangements may be made to hospitalize those pets at special rates.

Barking Dog Policy - Excessive barking is stressful for your pet, other boarders and our staff. Methods to control barking include:
  -  Environmental changes - move to different location, cover run
  -  Bark collar with citronella spray
  -  Sedation - only with owner's consent

Medication - Medications will be given if needed at $2.00/day.
