Beth Poulsen, DVM

Dr. Beth Poulsen dressed up as a veterinarian for career day in the 2nd grade and never looked back. She grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska and moved to Stevens Point, WI when she was in junior high. Beth completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at UW-Eau Claire and graduated from University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2007. She spent her first year working at a small animal practice in central Wisconsin and moved back to the Madison area to join LVH in May 2008.

Beth’s special interests in veterinary practice include surgery, dentistry, and endocrinology. She is an active volunteer with the Humane Society and has traveled throughout the U.S., Mexico, and Central America providing veterinary care to under-privileged communities. She is also a member of the professional organizations WVMA and AVMA.

Beth lives in Lodi with her husband, Keith, who is a large animal veterinarian at the UW veterinary school. They share their home with their Labrador mix, Lily, and Golden Retriever, Lucy. When she is not working, Beth enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Poulsen joined the LVH team as a doctor in 2008.
