Reproductive Management

Mare and Stallion Breeding Soundness Examinations:  From uterine cultures to semen evaluations we try to make sure you will have a healthy foal next year

Semen Collection & Freezing:  Semen can be safely collected and properly stored or shipped. (Breeding dummy available)

Infertility Evaluation: Our veterinarians are experienced in dealing with mares that have been having problems becoming or maintaining a pregnancy.

Artificial Insemination with Collected or Shipped Semen: Fresh or frozen semen.

Embryo Transfer

Fertility Ultrasound Service: Knowing where the mare is in her heat cycle is important for successfully breeding using artificial insemination. It can also detect the appropriate time for natural breeding thus decreasing the number of breedings. This makes uterine infections less likely to occur.

Pregnancy Ultrasound Service: Pregnancy checks can be done 16-20 days post breeding and a confirmation check at 45 days.

Pregnant Mare Care: From nutritional consultations, to routine preventative care, we are here to help you with all of your pregnant mare care needs.

New Foal Health Examinations: These exams are performed within 12-36 hours of birth, at which time many illnesses or problems can be identified by the doctor.  An IgG test is done at this time, checking the foal's immune system health, as well as checking the mare's health post birthing.

CEM Testing

Foaling Assistance:  In case of the rare incidence of a mare having trouble our 24-hour emergency service will be there to assist you and your mare and foal.
