Donor mare: breeding management by your local vet, then mare is trailered to LVH for the embryo transfer procedure.
Recipient mare: provided by you
Summary:
1. Donor mare is bred by your local veterinarian. Her cycle is monitored closely so that the precise
day of ovulation is noted.
2. Embryo recovery from the donor mare is performed at our hospital on day 7 following ovulation.
3. Recipient mare is provided by you. Her cycle must be closely followed by your veterinarian to ensure that she is a good match for the donor mare.
